Mondays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, May 13 - June 10 (Four 2-hour sessions. No class Memorial Day 5/27)

Fridays, 10:30am - 12:30pm, June 28 - July 26 (Four 2-hour sessions. No class July 5)

Tuesdays, 3:30pm - 5:00pm, July 30 - August 27

Wednesdays, 6:30pm - 8:00pm, July 31 - August 28

Gain a solid foundation in common sewing techniques. Master the basics like sewing seams and darts. Learn more advanced details such as zipper insertions, raw edge finishings and hemming techniques. Pressing techniques are the unsung hero of all successful sewing projects, and these are covered in detail. This class also provides an introduction to working on industrial sewing machines. Take away the intimidation factor of these powerful apparel industry tools.

  • This class is a prerequisite for all other Sewing classes

  • Meets weekly for 5 weeks, 1.5 hours per session.

  • There are several sessions of this class every quarter.

  • It is recommended that Elements of Patternmaking be taken concurrently, or consecutively, with this class.
